Odour: Characteristic fragrance.

SOUR SOFTENER is a liquid additive for laundry washing machines. It improves the feel of washed fabrics by imparting a softness and bulkiness to the fibres and it simultaneously neutralises any alkaline residues.

Key Benefits

  • SOUR SOFTENER is high in neutralising value, therefore very economical.
  • SOUR SOFTENER is gentle on fabrics.
  • SOUR SOFTENER is also able to suspend soils and mineral particles, thereby facilitating the rinse action.
  • Washed articles are left with an appealing fragrance.
  • Ideal for all washable fabrics, white or coloured.

How Does It Work?

SOUR SOFTENER is a perfumed blue liquid that improves the feel or handle of fabrics by imparting a distinct softness and bulkiness to the fibres. Wool, cotton, polyester blends and all other fabrics are suitable for rinsing with SOUR SOFTENER. It helps eliminate static cling, drying times are reduced, adds a pleasant fragrance and it revitalises the brightness of coloured fabrics. Another benefit is the prevention of accelerated soiling due to the adhesion of solid particles when static cling is present.

SOUR SOFTENER is a dual-action product which functions both as a fabric softener and laundry sour. The gentle acidity in SOUR SOFTENER acts to neutralise any carried-over alkalinity from the wash-water in the first stage of the laundry process. This restores the pH to the correct level for the fibres and prevents adverse skin reactions in people who wear the laundered clothes.

For Use On…

SOUR SOFTENER is added to the final rinse water in washing machines. SOUR SOFTENER is ideal for use in all industrial, commercial and household laundry operations and is suitable for all Australian conditions. It stops the tendency of synthetic garments from clinging to the skin, especially after tumble-drying and stops problems caused by lint in the tumble-dryer.

Application

Laundry: SOUR SOFTENER is designed to be dispensed by the Agar Laundry Liquid Automatic Feed System. This electronic equipment utilises pumps which are activated by the washing machine at appropriate points in the wash cycle. This system is safe because it does away with manual handling of chemicals, and economical because the correct quantity is measured out every time.

The quantity of SOUR SOFTENER to be used depends on the size of the machine and its load, and the quantity of LAUNDRY BREAK used in the wash cycle.

Never pour SOUR SOFTENER directly onto clothes.

It is best to pre-mix the SOUR SOFTENER with some water to aid mixing.

Avoid mixing bleach or any other products in the same rinse as SOUR SOFTENER.

Do not use SOUR SOFTENER if the water supply is heavily discoloured.
